About 700 movies were released in 2007 in the US alone. I saw some, you saw some, none of us saw them all, at least I hope none of you saw them all. Here is my take on the best & worst movies of 2007.
KNOCKED UP
This was the year of Judd Apatow, Seth Rogen & Jonah Hill. They have single handedly saved movie comedy! & thus earn the top 2 spots on my list.
Brilliant script & even more brilliant delivery by Rogen. Insightful writing. And did I say funny as hell!
SUPERBAD
Dirty, naughty, true to life! Superbad was teen sex comedy at its best. I laughed so hard I hurt myself. Written by Seth Rogen when in high school.
THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM
Great triquel to an awesome franchise! Matt Damon was brilliant. The Waterloo scene was masterful movie making. As was the rest of the movie. Riveting action.
No Country for Old Men
Masterpiece of a movie.I read the book after, The Coen brothers did it justice.

Someone dubbed this the greatest movie ever made for men! I have it from a good source that you women enjoyed it immensely.
THE LIVES OF OTHERS
Nominated for an Oscar for best foreign-language film, and winner of more than two dozen awards internationally.
Watching it I was tinged with great sadness, the lead actor Ulrich Muhe died shortly after the release of the movie. The parallels between his own life and those of who he plays in the movie are overwhelming and poignant.He was an actor in east Germany & was betrayed by his first wife. A truly beautiful movie. I highly recommend it.
TRANSFORMERS
Didn't bother to see this in the theater due to all the bad reviews it received. When I finally saw it, I was pleasantly surprised. I found it highly entertaining, in the true Spielberg high budget fashion. The cast members also comprise some refreshingly new faces.
American Gangster
Russel Crowe was brilliant, Denzel as usual amazing! I saw the unrated version. Almost 3 hours long, but 3 hours of absolutely great work!
Worst Movies
MUSIC & LYRICS
I am a an of Hugh Grant's combination of arrogance and modesty. But even his charm could not rescue this pathetic half baked excuse for a film! It joins the ranks with all time romantic blowouts like forces of nature!
Epic Movie
With jokes that wouldn’t even have been funny when they were still relevant, A painfully stupid production. Couldn't sit through it. Don't bother with this if you value your time!
Delta Farce
Half of those blue collar comedy guys try to do a film. A piece of advice. Stick to stand up comedy! Mainly Larry the cable guy saying really stupid things all the way through! I have a hard enough time watching him on his comedy tours, but this, pure cinematography rubbish!
Hostel 2
Boring attempt at a horror flick. Poor acting. Tries to overcompensate by being shocking i.e the kid getting randomly shot.
I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK & LARRY
Dont get me wrong. I'm a Sandler fan! & Jessica Biel -- I'll watch anything with her in it. But this movie was a hypocritical attempt at a Gay friendly movie. Think about it. It has annoying gay humor for most of the duration & then at the end tries to mask itself as a movie begging for Gay tolerance. Sandler needs to have someone check over his scripts for him.
EVAN ALMIGHTY
A disappointment to say the least. I expected more from the sequel of Bruce almighty, especially with Steve Carell
I KNOW WHO KILLED ME
So this might not be on this list if it was rated R. A film about a stripper without any topless scenes. But no story line & overall poor movie making help make this onto my list. I think Lindsey Lohan has potential to be a wonderful actor, if she can focus on umm acting.
